Snow Day Ideas

Today is my birthday and I’m celebrating inside because of inclement weather. This happens quite often, I’m stuck in the house because of sleet and snow. Texans are not equipped to handle these types of weather situations. This year, some school districts were starting to close days in advance.

For the one day out the year that it snows in Texas, I learned to just deal and think of ideas to occupy my time being in the house.

Here are a few things I do when I’m snowed in.

1. Learn Something New

This is the perfect opportunity to learn something new. Start a new project or finish up on work. I’ve taken about an hour of my morning going through my loan signing course for my business I plan to launch soon. I brew a cup of coffee and focus on what needs to get done.

2. Wash and Clean

I’m going on vacation next week and this is the perfect opportunity for me to do laundry and tidy my place before I’m gone for a week.

3. Binge Watch a New Show.

Currently I’m binge watching, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window on Netflix. There are so many plot twists and chilling moments that leave you wanting more each episode! Now, I will say some aspects of the show could’ve been left out but overall it’s been good series to watch.

4. DIY Project

Let your creative juices flow while you’re stuck indoors by starting a DIY project. DIY projects have been of my favorite things since I discovered Pinterest. You can diy just about anything- home decor, hair, arts and crafts, or whatever you can call your own. DIY’s are also perfect to keep your kiddo’s occupied and entertained. This snow day I’m working on cutting old Levi jeans in to shorts.

However you spend your snow days, I hope I have inspired some new ideas for you.
