DIY: Candy Cane Wreath x Dollar Tree

Holiday decor isn’t complete without a super adorable door wreath to wow your family and guests as they approach your doorsteps. Wreaths display holiday spirit even if the inside of your home isn’t overstocked with holiday ornamentations. This Christmas season I made a candy cane wreath using only materials I found at the Dollar Tree.

What you’ll need:

1. Candy Cane Form

2. Decorative Mesh

3. Pipe Cleaners

4. Bows/ Ribbons (optional)

5. Scissors

6. Ruler

7. Command Hooks

The first thing I did was cut my pipe cleaners in half. You don’t want them too long for this project. Next, measure and cut eight inches of your decorative mesh and repeat until you have three bundles. Roll your bundles and stack them together to form a “bow”. Take your pipe cleaners and tie it around the center of your “bow”. Lastly, secure your handmade bows to the back of the candy cane wreath. Repeat and play around with the wreath to cover any gaps that may show!

Also, make sure you purchase enough decorative mesh to ensure your wreath will be full.

I added ribbons to make the wreath stand out more. You can add anything you’d like!
